To compare three months of a GLP-1 program, add the actual payments due during that period, then separately record any longer commitment. A $99 monthly equivalent on a $1,188 annual plan is not a $297 three-month trial. Include medication, membership, consultations, required tests, shipping and renewal changes in your quote.
Start with two numbers, not one
The first number is the cash you must pay during the next three months. The second is the total amount you agree to pay. They can be very different. A provider may charge the whole annual price at signup, or a financing company may collect installments even after you stop receiving treatment.
Write both numbers down before comparing providers. Also distinguish calendar months from four-week treatment periods. Thirteen four-week periods make 52 weeks; multiplying a four-week price by 12 does not describe a full year. Ask the provider what its billing cycle actually covers.
A worked example using public prices
On September 6, 2026, Trimi advertised compounded semaglutide at $99/month on its annual plan, billed at $1,188, or $175 on a monthly plan. Three unchanged monthly payments would total $525. The annual commitment would still be $1,188, even though allocating one quarter of it to three months produces $297. That $297 figure describes an allocation, not the amount needed to buy the annual offer.
bmiMD's semaglutide page showed a three-month offer at $149 per month, $447 total, and a monthly option at $159. Three unchanged monthly payments would total $477. The difference is $30, before any additional costs or changes; deciding whether the longer commitment is worth it requires reading the refund terms too.
These are arithmetic examples based on public offers. They do not establish eligibility for a prescription or predict what a personalized checkout will show. The dated CSV records source links and unresolved details.

Do not enter zero when a fee is undisclosed. Enter “unknown” and ask for clarification. Keep a dated copy of the quote and terms so that a changed landing page does not erase the basis of your decision.
Separate medication cost from access fees
Some programs sell a bundled cash-pay service; others charge for clinician access while medication is paid separately. An advertised membership price is not a medication price. Ask whether the quote includes the exact prescription, which tests are required, and whether appointments or messaging incur further charges.
If insurance is involved, confirm coverage with your plan. A provider offering to help with authorization is not promising approval. Budget for what happens if the insurer denies or later stops covering the medication, and ask your clinician about alternatives before a supply gap occurs.
Treat cancellation and refund as different questions
“Cancel anytime” may mean that future renewals stop. It may not mean that medication already dispensed, a consultation already performed, or unused months of a term plan are refundable. Ask what happens if you are medically ineligible, cannot tolerate treatment, move to an unsupported state, or decide not to continue.
Financing adds another agreement. Before accepting installments, check who receives the payment, whether interest or fees apply, and what happens to that balance if the healthcare service ends. A smaller installment can make a large commitment easier to overlook.
Choose an affordable care plan, then compare providers
Price alone cannot tell you whether a treatment is suitable. Discuss the medicine with a licensed clinician, then use the worksheet to compare providers offering the appropriate care. Our semaglutide comparison and tirzepatide comparison expose the advertised terms; the full provider directory links to individual reviews.
Watchdog receives commissions from some provider links. Our displayed commercial scores can reflect affiliate performance; the arithmetic in this worksheet is independent of those scores. See our methodology.
FAQ
Is a lower monthly equivalent always cheaper? It can be cheaper over the full term but require more cash or a longer commitment than you want. Compare both the payment schedule and total obligation.
Should I multiply the advertisement by three? Only if it really is the rate for three separately billed periods with no extra required costs. Check the billing cycle, introductory offer and commitment first.
What if the provider will not give a total? Record it as unconfirmed and request a written breakdown. You cannot make a reliable price comparison from an incomplete quote.
