How We Score & Rank Providers
Every GLP-1 provider is evaluated across five weighted categories. Our methodology is applied independently — no provider pays for placement or higher ratings.
Independence Guarantee
No provider pays for placement or higher ratings. While we may earn affiliate commissions from some providers (see our affiliate disclosure), our scoring is applied identically regardless of commercial relationships.
Scoring Weights
Safety
30%Safety is our most heavily weighted category because patient safety is non-negotiable. We evaluate:
- Whether the provider uses FDA-approved brand-name medications or compounded alternatives
- Pharmacy licensing and accreditation (state licenses, PCAB accreditation)
- Medical oversight quality (MD vs. NP, physician-to-patient ratios)
- Contraindication screening and medical history requirements
- Adverse event reporting procedures and response protocols
- Medication sourcing transparency and supply chain integrity
Transparency
25%Transparency builds trust. Providers that hide information are hiding it for a reason. We evaluate:
- Upfront pricing with no hidden fees or surprise charges
- Clear disclosure of whether medications are compounded or brand-name
- Named physicians and medical team with verifiable credentials
- Published refund and cancellation policies
- Honest marketing without misleading weight loss guarantees
- Affiliate and advertising relationship disclosures
Cost Value
20%We don't just look at the lowest price — we evaluate what you get for your money. We consider:
- Total monthly cost including consultation fees, medication, and shipping
- Insurance acceptance and navigation support
- Value relative to included services (lab work, coaching, medical support)
- Price transparency and consistency (no bait-and-switch pricing)
- HSA/FSA eligibility
- Refund policy if medication doesn't work or causes side effects
Support
15%GLP-1 treatment requires ongoing medical support. We evaluate:
- Access to medical providers for questions and concerns
- Dosage adjustment process and response time
- Side effect management guidance and protocols
- Follow-up appointment availability and frequency
- Customer support responsiveness and helpfulness
- Community or coaching resources included in the program
Access Speed
10%While speed matters, we weight it lowest because rushing medication is never good. We evaluate:
- Time from initial consultation to medication delivery
- Prescription approval process efficiency
- Shipping speed and reliability
- Geographic availability across states
- Medication availability (waitlists, backorders, stock issues)
How We Evaluate
Research
We review provider websites, terms of service, pharmacy licenses, physician credentials, and regulatory filings.
Mystery Shopping
We go through the signup and consultation process as a regular customer to evaluate the actual experience.
User Reports
We analyze verified reviews from Trustpilot, BBB, Reddit, and direct user submissions to our platform.
Regulatory Check
We cross-reference providers against FDA warning letters, state pharmacy board actions, and legal filings.
Scoring
Each category is scored 1-10 based on our findings, then weighted to produce a final composite score out of 10.
Update Frequency
Our provider ratings are reviewed and updated monthly. Between scheduled reviews, we make immediate updates when:
- -The FDA issues a new warning letter or enforcement action affecting a reviewed provider
- -A provider significantly changes its pricing, medication sourcing, or medical team
- -We receive verified reports of serious adverse events or fraud
- -A provider launches or discontinues a service relevant to our evaluation
